[Shears the door as he enters and decides to wait patiently for him to take a shower and then come up. Honestly, she's not expecting more out of today other than spending time together, maybe cuddling and other activities that they could both enjoy in the bedroom or around the house.

So when he comes up stairs she's pleasantly surprised by the sight of the roses in his hands. As far as she could see they were beautiful. She moves from the bed to meet him, already happy to receive flowers.]

Not at all. The roses are absolutely beautiful.

[Zack hands the flowers and it's then he gets a view of her. She's stunning of course. Relena is always stunningbut she looks even more stunning than usual in her little pink nice gown. He feels over dressed in his pants and button down shirt. He tried to dress nice for her and he blushes as he looks away a little.]

You look beautiful. Should I have been in something else? I wasn't sure if you wanted to go out or anything so I thought I'd dress up for once...I hope it's okay.

[She's happy to accept the roses and enjoy the scent wafting from them. Maybe she should have dressed in something more formal? She honestly hadn't thought of the possibility of going out. But, now that he mentions it, Relena blushes slightly and buries her face in the roses just for a moment while she looks over just how nice he looks.]

Thank you. You look handsome dressed up so perhaps I should have done the same. If you'd like, I can change and we can go out to a nice restaurant to get lunch?

[Going out to eat would be nice but then he thinks about all the people who would see them, who would see Relena and the thought makes him a little sick. Ever since that day they had to perform together for the DTF he hasn't really wanted to share her at all.

Instead he shakes his head and heads over to the bed to take out the small box from his back pocket. ]

No...I don't want to leave. We can order food or I'll cook. This is fine. I want to be the only one to see you like this right now....is that okay?

[She would have changed into something less revealing and more conservative if he had chosen to go out. Though, considering Relena's barely left the house since the entire DTF incident...maybe staying in is a better choice.

She would rather be seen by people she trusts or her lovers as opposed to the world at large right now. Her attention soon turns from the flowers back to him as he moves towards the bed and takes a box out of his back pocket. It looks like it might contain some sort of jewelry?

Relena shifts her attention towards the bed and moves to take a seat on the edge. What he's saying makes sense. He did just get back from work and when he mentions wanting to be the only one to see her like this right now...

She nods. That is definitely okay. She did wear this specifically for Zack and no one else.]

Then lets order in. I only meant to wear this outfit for your eyes only so staying in sounds like the perfect way to spend the afternoon.

[Guilt starts to creep over him as he looks at her. Is he beeing too possessive by asking them to stay? Did he maybe say the wrong thing? He frowns a little and tries to hide it by moving closer to her and resting his head on her shoulder once she's close enough. Her scent mixed with the smell of roses is soothing to him and he closes his eyes as his thumb fiddles with the box.]

I'll get us whatever you like. My treat. I just want you happy always. You are happy right?

[Relena leans into him as he rests his head on her shoulder and closes her eyes for a moment, just enjoying the sensation of him being close to her. As far as she's concerned, he's not doing anything wrong and the possessiveness feels good.

Relena won't lie that the performance left its mark on both of them. She would rather have all his attention on her in private than anywhere they could be seen and observed by strangers.]

Of course I'm happy. I would tell you if I wasn't.

[She pulls away enough so she can look at him and reach out to cup his cheek in her hand.]

While I may occasionally go out and see others, this is where I feel the safest. Right here with you.

[While he does feel more content to be leaning against her, there is still doubt in his face that he's really makong her happy. If he waa better then none of the issue with the DTF would have happened. It was his fault he didn't have enough money, his fault he didn’t save enough. He had to work harder and save more. He needed to do better for Relena. It was all his fault. He was a failure as a dominant.]

I...I'm glad you're here with me today.

[He tried not to let his thoughts overwhelm him as he leaned into her touch, those violet eyes that once sparkled with such happiness and joy never seeming to be as bright anymore. He did smile for her and placed the little box into her hand.]

It's not much but...I had hoped you'd like this more than chocolates.

[Inside was a small pink crystal heart pendant necklace. Simple and elegant for her to wear.]

[It hurts to see his eyes aren't as bright and filled with joy and laughter than they did before the incident. Relena really wishes there was something she could do to bring that sparkle back and make him understand that it wasn't his fault. She's seen enough political systems rigged against the people they are supposed to protect to know it has nothing to do with how hard he works or how much he can provide for her.

If anything, it strengthens her resolve to try and change things for the better. ]

I can't imagine being anywhere else today.

[Her attention turns back to the small box as he hands it to her. She opens it up and smiles as she sees the pink heart necklace. It's simple and elegant which fits her style perfectly.]

I love it. It's a much better gift than chocolates.

[She sets aside the roses to take the necklace out of the box so she can put it on. Once it's secure around her neck she strikes a small little pose.]

How does it look?

[He watches as she puts the necklace on and it does fit her. It's simple but only heightens her natural elegance. He can't help but smile and take hee hand to kiss the back of it.]

You're beautiful, you're always beautiful. With or without it you'd be beautiful but it does suit you. You don't have to wear it when you go out if you don't want. It's not meant as another collar, I just wanted to get you a gift cause it reminded me of you. I really do hope I can protect you for as long as you're here, Relena.

[A faint blush graces her cheeks as he kisses the back of her hand. A delicate necklace like this could never be considered a collar in her eyes. It's more of a declaration of love than of ownership and that is exactly how Relena views it. A declaration of love.

Her blush only deepens as he speaks.]

Zack, you already provide me with everything I could ever want and need. While this city may throw it's own twists and turns at us, I have unwavering confidence that you will protect me and keep me as safe as possible no matter how long we may be here.

[Relena has no intention on being anywhere else. While she does love Hubert, she also loves Zack and knows he will do his best to keep her safe.]

I dare say your charm has won a space in my heart.

Relena...

[Zack watches her a loss for words for a minute. His eyes widen as he gets off the bed and gets to his knees to instead hold both her hands in his and kiss both of them. He's touched by her words and her trust in him.]

I know I'm not the best, I know you could do better than me but you stay with me. You keep staying at my side and I lo...

[He pauses at those four words, his heart aching at them. His mind goes back to their recent separation when he died, how he so easily fell for the ghosts of all his loved ones. How he'd choose the dead over the living and he bites his own lip, looking away from her eyes to the ne klace he gave her.]

I'll keep trying to be good to you. I'll keep trying as much as I can. I promise I'll try harder. I won't leave you again. I learned my lesson...I mean it. You have a spot in my heart too.

[She's a little surprised when he moves off the bed to kneel in front of her. Both of her delicate hands fit perfectly in his larger hands as he brings them to his lips for a kiss. Relena can't really help her smile as she watches him. The faith and trust she has in him is hard to deny when she gives it so freely.]

Of course I keep staying by your side. You are a good man Zack. I have faith in you.

[She notices his his hesitation over that particular word and wonders a little about it. Was it too soon to say something like that for them? She's already admitted to Hubert she loves him and she definitely feels the same way about Zack. Even if he does makes mistakes, Relena knows he's trying and he means well.

No one is perfect, not even her. The only reasons she didn't fall for the ghosts in the snow is the undeniable fact that she knows no one from her world is here. They would have reached out if they were and contacted her.]

Zack, don't drive yourself mad over this. You being yourself is good enough for me.

[She leans in to kiss his forehead just to try and ease his worries.]

As long as we have a spot in each other's hearts, everything will be fine.

Me being myself is the problem...I keep making mistakes and it doesn't just effect me but it effects us both. I have to worry about how it will change for you. I can't keep making mistakes.

[He kisses the hands again and then rubs his cheeks against them both.]

I will keep trying, I'll male sure not to go crazy over it or lose myself but I'll try to think before I act and not fall for the tricks so easily now. Maybe I'll get another job too incase of another dtf issue even so I can get you nicer gifts too. I want the best for you.

[She frowns a little when he mentions that he keeps making mistakes that effect both of them. She really doesn't want him to try and change to just protect her. Relena sighs softly as he kisses her hands again and rubs his cheeks against them. He really is too sweet and adorable...]

Zack, please. We are both bound to make mistakes. I'm bound to say or do something to draw attention to myself eventually that will probably reflect poorly on both of us simply because I refuse to stay silent on my personal beliefs.

[She pulls one hand free from his so she can run it through his hair before cupping his cheek.]

Don't work yourself to death on my account. I am perfectly content with whatever you provide and if you want to make sure we have enough to pay off any fines we gain, I can always get a small part time job to help with savings. It's really not fair that I stay home while you do all the hard work.

[Even if she's not inclined to be in public just yet, Relena is determined not to let him carry this burden alone.]

But if you make a mistake it's okay, you're my submissive. It's okay and expected in this place. When I make a mistake I'm a bad dominant, I'm a failure as a protector and provider. I know you say I'm not but I am in the eyes of this place and others...its...it's hard Relena.

[He leans into her touch, rubbing his face against her small hand.]

[She's quiet for a moment. While being a submissive might be an excuse for some mistakes she might make, she doubts it will be an excuse for all of them. Eventually she will say or do something that might issues that will get her punish either by the city or by the city forcing Zack to punish her. Relena runs her thumb over his cheek as he presses into her touch and then sighs softly.

No one can predict what the future holds.]

What this society thinks hardly matters to me. They can say what they want. I am the only one who can truly decide whether you are a bad dominant for me or not and I say you are the best dominant I could have ever asked for.

I can even say that I am extremely lucky to have you in my life.

[Another soft sigh as she leans in to press her forehead against his.]

Zack, It's alright to desire to be the hero but, it's not something that can be forced. Just be yourself and stand firm in your beliefs. That is all anyone can do when faced with impossible tasks and demanding forces determined to break the people around them.

[She smiles a little.]

[Zack’s heart starts to beat faster at Relena's words. Everything she says is so kind and sweet and most importantly reassuring to him. It's Everything he's been needing to hear and it just feels like weight and pressure is being lifted off his shoulders at least for this short time with her. For a brief respite with Relena things are okay.

He doesn't waste any time to kiss her as he leans in to carefully capture those lips against his own, cupping her cheeks and holding her there as if the moment the kiss ended he'd crumble. He doesn't crumble of course when the kiss does end but he does kiss her again, just as soft and loving to her cheeks, each one and then her nose and her lips once more. ]

I wanted this Valentine's day to be a bit more romantic but I guess I kinda made it depressing in a way. I'm sorry, I'm happy I still got to kiss you and that you like your presents though....you really do mean so much to me.

[He let's their foreheads touch as his hand tangles itself in Relena's hair.]

I'm lucky to have you in my life too. Before I met you I thought I'd never have another partner again not just cause of my bad luck but...I didn't want to open myself to the pain of losing another person. I'm still worried sometimes I might wake up and you'll be gone like the others but...I wouldn't regret this time we have together. I wouldn't change any of this.

[As their lips meet, she can tell that her words have finally eased his worries and reassured him. Relena meant every word of it. She wants him as her dominant and won't even consider anyone else. Even if the city tries to make her, she wouldn't. He needs her and she needs him.

Relena's a little flushed as he finally breaks the kiss. Even as his lips press against her cheeks, then her nose and then her lips again... Relena can't help but smile and kiss him back, even if it is a brief kiss.]

Even if it has got a little depressing, I think we can still have a romantic day.

[She closes her eyes for a moment as their foreheads press together and his hands tangle into her long, blonde hair. Her own hands come up to cup his cheeks and caress his skin as she smiles a little more.]

I'm glad you gave me a chance to be your partner. Lets make sure to live every moment to its fullest.

[Her scent may be growing a little stronger just from the kisses and the tender moments they're sharing. This is something Relena will cherish until one of them is forced to leave this city. ]

We will, I'll make sure it's still romantic

[It's almost too easy how Zack stands and just wraps one arm around Relena and is able to lift her as if she was weightless. He carries her over to the bed and gently lays her down. He doesn't get any spicier than that wih his actions, instead laying beside her and just holding her. Their conversation was too meaningful and even with her scent changing a little he wants to just hold her right now and enjoy this time with her in his arms.]

Would you...would you like to maybe have a permanent contract with me Relena?

[It still amazes her just how easily he can pick her up like this! She smiles as her arms slip around his shoulders as he carries her to the bed and then gently lays her down. Even if they don't get spicier than this, Relena's just happy cuddling with him. With his arms around her, she feels safe and that only adds to the meaning to their conversation in her eyes.

Relena snuggles in close to him, pressing her body against his just to enjoy the contact and nothing more when she hears him ask her a very specific question. She pauses for a moment to look up at him. Honestly, there's only one answer she can give.]

I would love to have a permanent contract with you Zack.

[He might not have been thinking really when he asked. This was like proposing to some and here he was just asking her without any bit of fanfare like it was just a normal question when it really wasn't.]

You mean it? You don't want to think about it a little first?

[ He rests his head against the pillows and her neck, kissing at where the delicate chain touches her skin. His arms stay wrapped around her waist as he holds her, keeping her safe in his arms. He wraps one of his legs around her too, caging her in a little and closing his eyes.]

Should I get you a better present first if we do this? It's important...a necklace is too small to celebrate it.

[It may take Relena a few moments to realize that a permanent contract was akin to a proposal and when she does, She's going to be shocked...and perhaps a little ~~a lot~~ thrilled.]

Yes, I mean it. We're already building a life together with this house so it makes sense.

[Again, give her a little bit. She relaxes in his hold, simply happy to be so close to him even has his legs cage her in against him. There's very few places that she'd rather be and right now, this is at the top of her list.]

I don't need anything fancy or a better present.

[It's important and the necklace is too small to celebrate it. Hold on. Relena pauses as the pieces suddenly come together. Usually, she's pretty on top of what's going on but, this suddenly takes her a little by surprise as she presses her body a bit more against his to really cuddle in close.]

Zack, are you proposing to me? My answer is still yes. It just occurred to me that a permanent contract might be taken as a proposal.

[Which has her blushing and feeling a little embarrassed that she didn't realize it before. It doesn't change her answers or how she feels. It's just a very happy sudden surprise.]
